Question 1

What do front end 2017 DODGE CHALLENGER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 452 recorded sales of the 2017 DODGE CHALLENGER with front end damage, the median was $4,650, from $3,150 to $9,200. That is 7% below the $5,000 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $8,700 a good price for this 2017 DODGE CHALLENGER?

Accepted Answer

976 comparable 2017 DODGE CHALLENGER listings sold at auction for a median of $5,000, spanning $3,250 to $10,200. At $8,700 this one went 74% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this DODGE CHALLENGER sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2017 DODGE CHALLENGER's pre-damage retail value at $23,329. It sold for $8,700 — 63% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does a salvage title mean for this DODGE CHALLENGER?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 DODGE CHALLENGER was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 5

How far is this DODGE CHALLENGER from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in IL - ELGIN. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 700 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $450-$675, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 63,846 miles high for a 2017 DODGE CHALLENGER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 DODGE CHALLENGER listings at auction averaged 99,323 miles across 976 sales, so at 63,846 miles this one sits 36% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
