Question 1

What do hail 2017 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 43 recorded sales of the 2017 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE with hail damage, the median was $3,650, from $3,200 to $5,500. That is level with the $3,650 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,050 a good price for this 2017 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE?

Accepted Answer

240 comparable 2017 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE listings sold at auction for a median of $3,650, spanning $3,100 to $5,600. At $3,050 this one went 16% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a clear mean for this CHEVROLET TRAVERSE?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE was sold on a clear. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

How far is this CHEVROLET TRAVERSE from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in SD - LENNOX. The nearest major vehicle export port is Tacoma, roughly 1,300 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $725-$1,050, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 145,290 miles high for a 2017 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE listings at auction averaged 91,253 miles across 240 sales, so at 145,290 miles this one sits 59% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
