Question 1

What do normal wear & tear 2017 CHEVROLET TAHOE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 59 recorded sales of the 2017 CHEVROLET TAHOE with normal wear & tear damage, the median was $11,725, from $4,050 to $19,600. That is 91% above the $6,150 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $10,650 a good price for this 2017 CHEVROLET TAHOE?

Accepted Answer

1509 comparable 2017 CHEVROLET TAHOE listings sold at auction for a median of $6,150, spanning $3,650 to $10,499. At $10,650 this one went 73% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This CHEVROLET TAHOE sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

How far is this CHEVROLET TAHOE from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in AL - BESSEMER. The nearest major vehicle export port is New Orleans, roughly 350 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $300-$425, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

Is 144,735 miles high for a 2017 CHEVROLET TAHOE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 CHEVROLET TAHOE listings at auction averaged 127,755 miles across 1509 sales, so at 144,735 miles this one sits 13% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 CHEVROLET TAHOE. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.
