Question 1

What do hail 2019 CHEVROLET MALIBU models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 43 recorded sales of the 2019 CHEVROLET MALIBU with hail damage, the median was $4,575, from $3,300 to $6,700. That is 26% above the $3,638 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

How far is this CHEVROLET MALIBU from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in PA - ELLWOOD CITY. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 150 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 3

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2019 CHEVROLET MALIBU. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 4

Is 154,471 miles high for a 2019 CHEVROLET MALIBU?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2019 CHEVROLET MALIBU listings at auction averaged 78,053 miles across 709 sales, so at 154,471 miles this one sits 98% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

Did this 2019 CHEVROLET MALIBU come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with hail damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.

Question 6

What can I find out from VIN 1G1ZG5ST2KF198628?

Accepted Answer

1G1ZG5ST2KF198628 identifies this specific 2019 CHEVROLET MALIBU in black with a 1.5l 4 engine, front wheel drive. This page covers its auction history only. For ownership, servicing and reported accidents, run the VIN through Carfax, AutoCheck or NMVTIS — those records are separate from ours and we cannot change them.
