Question 1

What do front end 2023 CHEVROLET MALIBU models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 1380 recorded sales of the 2023 CHEVROLET MALIBU with front end damage, the median was $4,650, from $3,200 to $9,200. That is 9% below the $5,100 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,250 a good price for this 2023 CHEVROLET MALIBU?

Accepted Answer

3551 comparable 2023 CHEVROLET MALIBU listings sold at auction for a median of $5,100, spanning $3,300 to $9,900. At $3,250 this one went 36% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How far is this CHEVROLET MALIBU from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in NM - ALBUQUERQUE. The nearest major vehicle export port is Houston, roughly 750 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $500-$725, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

Is 49,322 miles high for a 2023 CHEVROLET MALIBU?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2023 CHEVROLET MALIBU listings at auction averaged 58,408 miles across 3551 sales, so at 49,322 miles this one sits 16% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2023 CHEVROLET MALIBU. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Did this 2023 CHEVROLET MALIBU come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with front end damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
