Question 1

What do rear end 2023 CHEVROLET MALIBU models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 393 recorded sales of the 2023 CHEVROLET MALIBU with rear end damage, the median was $4,750, from $3,300 to $9,200. That is 7% below the $5,100 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,350 a good price for this 2023 CHEVROLET MALIBU?

Accepted Answer

3515 comparable 2023 CHEVROLET MALIBU listings sold at auction for a median of $5,100, spanning $3,300 to $9,900. At $3,350 this one went 34% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this CHEVROLET MALIBU sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2023 CHEVROLET MALIBU's pre-damage retail value at $17,499. It sold for $3,350 — 81% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does a non-repairable mean for this CHEVROLET MALIBU?

Accepted Answer

This 2023 CHEVROLET MALIBU was sold on a non-repairable. That is the most restrictive category: in most US states the vehicle cannot be retitled for road use and is intended for parts or export only. Import rules vary by country, so check locally before bidding.

Question 5

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2023 CHEVROLET MALIBU. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 58,786 miles high for a 2023 CHEVROLET MALIBU?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2023 CHEVROLET MALIBU listings at auction averaged 58,308 miles across 3515 sales, so at 58,786 miles this one sits 1% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
