Question 1

Was $9,500 a good price for this 2020 CHEVROLET MALIBU?

Accepted Answer

1634 comparable 2020 CHEVROLET MALIBU listings sold at auction for a median of $3,800, spanning $3,075 to $8,275. At $9,500 this one went 150% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

What does a clean title mean for this CHEVROLET MALIBU?

Accepted Answer

This 2020 CHEVROLET MALIBU was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 3

How far is this CHEVROLET MALIBU from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in AL - MONTGOMERY. The nearest major vehicle export port is New Orleans, roughly 350 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $300-$425, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2020 CHEVROLET MALIBU. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 60,246 miles high for a 2020 CHEVROLET MALIBU?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2020 CHEVROLET MALIBU listings at auction averaged 75,664 miles across 1634 sales, so at 60,246 miles this one sits 20% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

Can I buy this 2020 CHEVROLET MALIBU from AutoBidCar?

Accepted Answer

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2020 CHEVROLET MALIBU was listed at COPART as lot 72547374 and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.
