Question 1

What do left front 2017 CHEVROLET MALIBU models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 23 recorded sales of the 2017 CHEVROLET MALIBU with left front damage, the median was $3,200, from $3,025 to $4,400. That is 9% below the $3,500 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 CHEVROLET MALIBU. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 3

This CHEVROLET MALIBU has left front and undercarriage damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 4

Is 159,520 miles high for a 2017 CHEVROLET MALIBU?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 CHEVROLET MALIBU listings at auction averaged 85,462 miles across 632 sales, so at 159,520 miles this one sits 87% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

Did this 2017 CHEVROLET MALIBU come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with left front damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.

Question 6

Who sold this 2017 CHEVROLET MALIBU?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was STATE FARM INSURANCE. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.
