Question 1

What do front end 2017 CHEVROLET MALIBU models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 193 recorded sales of the 2017 CHEVROLET MALIBU with front end damage, the median was $3,400, from $3,050 to $4,450. That is 3% below the $3,500 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 CHEVROLET MALIBU. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 3

Is 91,296 miles high for a 2017 CHEVROLET MALIBU?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 CHEVROLET MALIBU listings at auction averaged 85,631 miles across 617 sales, so at 91,296 miles this one sits 7% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 4

Who sold this 2017 CHEVROLET MALIBU?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was STATE FARM INSURANCE. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Question 5

Did this 2017 CHEVROLET MALIBU come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with front end damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.

Question 6

Can I buy this 2017 CHEVROLET MALIBU from AutoBidCar?

Accepted Answer

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2017 CHEVROLET MALIBU was listed at IAAI as lot 46352466 and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.
