Question 1

What do left side 2016 CHEVROLET MALIBU models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 14 recorded sales of the 2016 CHEVROLET MALIBU with left side damage, the median was $3,850, from $3,175 to $5,100. That is 10% above the $3,500 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

This CHEVROLET MALIBU sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 3

This CHEVROLET MALIBU has left side and unknown damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 4

Is 179,444 miles high for a 2016 CHEVROLET MALIBU?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 CHEVROLET MALIBU listings at auction averaged 87,073 miles across 448 sales, so at 179,444 miles this one sits 106% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

Where was this CHEVROLET MALIBU located?

Accepted Answer

The lot was held at IAAI in AK - WASILLA. Location sets the inland transport cost to a port or a repair shop, and state title rules differ, so two otherwise identical cars can be worth noticeably different amounts.

Question 6

Can I buy this 2016 CHEVROLET MALIBU from AutoBidCar?

Accepted Answer

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2016 CHEVROLET MALIBU was listed at IAAI as lot 45045056 and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.
