Question 1

What do left rear 2016 CHEVROLET MALIBU models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 11 recorded sales of the 2016 CHEVROLET MALIBU with left rear damage, the median was $3,175, from $3,000 to $4,300. That is 9% below the $3,500 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,150 a good price for this 2016 CHEVROLET MALIBU?

Accepted Answer

450 comparable 2016 CHEVROLET MALIBU listings sold at auction for a median of $3,500, spanning $3,050 to $4,800. At $3,150 this one went 10% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How far is this CHEVROLET MALIBU from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in MI - BELLEVILLE. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 550 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $475-$650, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 CHEVROLET MALIBU. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 68,716 miles high for a 2016 CHEVROLET MALIBU?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 CHEVROLET MALIBU listings at auction averaged 87,150 miles across 450 sales, so at 68,716 miles this one sits 21% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

Did this 2016 CHEVROLET MALIBU come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with left rear damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
