Question 1

What do right rear 2025 CHEVROLET MALIBU models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 21 recorded sales of the 2025 CHEVROLET MALIBU with right rear damage, the median was $10,750, from $8,100 to $13,000. That is 25% above the $8,600 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $12,400 a good price for this 2025 CHEVROLET MALIBU?

Accepted Answer

1192 comparable 2025 CHEVROLET MALIBU listings sold at auction for a median of $8,600, spanning $3,650 to $13,200. At $12,400 this one went 44% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How far is this CHEVROLET MALIBU from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in VA - ASHLAND. The nearest major vehicle export port is Norfolk, roughly 120 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2025 CHEVROLET MALIBU. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 20,785 miles high for a 2025 CHEVROLET MALIBU?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2025 CHEVROLET MALIBU listings at auction averaged 23,588 miles across 1192 sales, so at 20,785 miles this one sits 12% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

This CHEVROLET MALIBU has right rear and biohazard damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.
