Question 1

What do engine damage 2023 CHEVROLET MALIBU models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 37 recorded sales of the 2023 CHEVROLET MALIBU with engine damage damage, the median was $8,075, from $4,775 to $9,550. That is 58% above the $5,100 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $8,800 a good price for this 2023 CHEVROLET MALIBU?

Accepted Answer

3503 comparable 2023 CHEVROLET MALIBU listings sold at auction for a median of $5,100, spanning $3,300 to $9,900. At $8,800 this one went 73% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a clear mean for this CHEVROLET MALIBU?

Accepted Answer

This 2023 CHEVROLET MALIBU was sold on a clear. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 4

What does "NOT RUN" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

NOT RUN is the auction's own condition note for this 2023 CHEVROLET MALIBU. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

How far is this CHEVROLET MALIBU from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in GA - ACWORTH. The nearest major vehicle export port is Savannah, roughly 250 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $300-$450, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 63,975 miles high for a 2023 CHEVROLET MALIBU?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2023 CHEVROLET MALIBU listings at auction averaged 58,245 miles across 3503 sales, so at 63,975 miles this one sits 10% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
