Question 1

What do front end 2017 CHEVROLET MALIBU models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 189 recorded sales of the 2017 CHEVROLET MALIBU with front end damage, the median was $3,400, from $3,050 to $4,500. That is 3% below the $3,500 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

This CHEVROLET MALIBU sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 3

What does a clear mean for this CHEVROLET MALIBU?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 CHEVROLET MALIBU was sold on a clear. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 CHEVROLET MALIBU. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 113,696 miles high for a 2017 CHEVROLET MALIBU?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 CHEVROLET MALIBU listings at auction averaged 86,006 miles across 602 sales, so at 113,696 miles this one sits 32% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

This CHEVROLET MALIBU has front end and front end damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.
