Question 1

What do hail 2019 CHEVROLET MALIBU models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 43 recorded sales of the 2019 CHEVROLET MALIBU with hail damage, the median was $4,575, from $3,300 to $6,700. That is 26% above the $3,625 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $5,000 a good price for this 2019 CHEVROLET MALIBU?

Accepted Answer

708 comparable 2019 CHEVROLET MALIBU listings sold at auction for a median of $3,625, spanning $3,050 to $5,900. At $5,000 this one went 38% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a clear mean for this CHEVROLET MALIBU?

Accepted Answer

This 2019 CHEVROLET MALIBU was sold on a clear. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 4

This CHEVROLET MALIBU has hail and unknown damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 5

Is 46,765 miles high for a 2019 CHEVROLET MALIBU?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2019 CHEVROLET MALIBU listings at auction averaged 78,152 miles across 708 sales, so at 46,765 miles this one sits 40% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2019 CHEVROLET MALIBU. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.
