Question 1

What do front end 2018 CHEVROLET MALIBU models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 266 recorded sales of the 2018 CHEVROLET MALIBU with front end damage, the median was $3,500, from $3,050 to $4,600. That is 1% below the $3,550 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

What does a salvage mean for this CHEVROLET MALIBU?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 CHEVROLET MALIBU was sold on a salvage. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 3

How far is this CHEVROLET MALIBU from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in TX - LINCOLN. The nearest major vehicle export port is Houston, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

Is 120,528 miles high for a 2018 CHEVROLET MALIBU?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 CHEVROLET MALIBU listings at auction averaged 82,150 miles across 858 sales, so at 120,528 miles this one sits 47% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 CHEVROLET MALIBU. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Can I buy this 2018 CHEVROLET MALIBU from AutoBidCar?

Accepted Answer

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2018 CHEVROLET MALIBU was listed at IAAI as lot 43069474 and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.
