Question 1

Was $18,000 a good price for this 2012 AUDI Q7?

Accepted Answer

17 comparable 2012 AUDI Q7 listings sold at auction for a median of $4,675, spanning $4,150 to $7,000. At $18,000 this one went 285% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

How much below its undamaged value did this AUDI Q7 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2012 AUDI Q7's pre-damage retail value at $22,000. It sold for $18,000 — 18% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 3

What does "RUNS AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUNS AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2012 AUDI Q7. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 4

Is 177,007 miles high for a 2012 AUDI Q7?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2012 AUDI Q7 listings at auction averaged 138,540 miles across 17 sales, so at 177,007 miles this one sits 28% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

This AUDI Q7 has hail and front end damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

Where was this AUDI Q7 located?

Accepted Answer

The lot was held at COPART CANADA in AB - EDMONTON. Location sets the inland transport cost to a port or a repair shop, and state title rules differ, so two otherwise identical cars can be worth noticeably different amounts.
