Question 1

Was $48,450 a good price for this 2021 AUDI A8?

Accepted Answer

41 comparable 2021 AUDI A8 listings sold at auction for a median of $18,000, spanning $11,300 to $26,250. At $48,450 this one went 169% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

This AUDI A8 sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 3

How far is this AUDI A8 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in VA - VIRGINIA BEACH. The nearest major vehicle export port is Norfolk, roughly 120 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

Is 37,846 miles high for a 2021 AUDI A8?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2021 AUDI A8 listings at auction averaged 44,805 miles across 41 sales, so at 37,846 miles this one sits 16% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

Can I buy this 2021 AUDI A8 from AutoBidCar?

Accepted Answer

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2021 AUDI A8 was listed at IAAI as lot 42455859 and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.

Question 6

What can I find out from VIN WAU8EAF89MN003427?

Accepted Answer
