Question 1

What do rear end 2016 AUDI A6 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 74 recorded sales of the 2016 AUDI A6 with rear end damage, the median was $4,700, from $3,300 to $7,500. That is 6% above the $4,450 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $6,000 a good price for this 2016 AUDI A6?

Accepted Answer

680 comparable 2016 AUDI A6 listings sold at auction for a median of $4,450, spanning $3,250 to $6,900. At $6,000 this one went 35% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this AUDI A6 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2016 AUDI A6's pre-damage retail value at $12,501. It sold for $6,000 — 52% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

How far is this AUDI A6 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in CT - NEW BRITAIN. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 120 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

Is 101,236 miles high for a 2016 AUDI A6?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 AUDI A6 listings at auction averaged 100,693 miles across 680 sales, so at 101,236 miles this one sits 1% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 AUDI A6. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.
