Question 1

Was $6,700 a good price for this 2022 AUDI A5?

Accepted Answer

287 comparable 2022 AUDI A5 listings sold at auction for a median of $10,825, spanning $5,300 to $17,850. At $6,700 this one went 38% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

How much below its undamaged value did this AUDI A5 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2022 AUDI A5's pre-damage retail value at $38,407. It sold for $6,700 — 83% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 3

What does a cert of title-salvage mean for this AUDI A5?

Accepted Answer

This 2022 AUDI A5 was sold on a cert of title-salvage. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 4

What does "RUNS AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUNS AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2022 AUDI A5. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

How far is this AUDI A5 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in NJ - SOMERVILLE. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 30 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 15,137 miles high for a 2022 AUDI A5?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2022 AUDI A5 listings at auction averaged 40,643 miles across 287 sales, so at 15,137 miles this one sits 63% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
