Question 1

Was $5,050 a good price for this 2016 AUDI A4?

Accepted Answer

211 comparable 2016 AUDI A4 listings sold at auction for a median of $3,700, spanning $3,100 to $5,500. At $5,050 this one went 36% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

How much below its undamaged value did this AUDI A4 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2016 AUDI A4's pre-damage retail value at $16,519. It sold for $5,050 — 69% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 3

What does a salvage (new jersey) mean for this AUDI A4?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 AUDI A4 was sold on a salvage (new jersey). A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 4

This AUDI A4 has front end and damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 5

What does "Run & Drive" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

Run & Drive is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 AUDI A4. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 72,090 miles high for a 2016 AUDI A4?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 AUDI A4 listings at auction averaged 87,326 miles across 211 sales, so at 72,090 miles this one sits 17% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
