Question 1

What do side 2023 AUDI A3 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 23 recorded sales of the 2023 AUDI A3 with side damage, the median was $8,650, from $4,500 to $11,600. That is 15% above the $7,550 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $4,500 a good price for this 2023 AUDI A3?

Accepted Answer

224 comparable 2023 AUDI A3 listings sold at auction for a median of $7,550, spanning $4,200 to $11,750. At $4,500 this one went 40% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This AUDI A3 sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

How far is this AUDI A3 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in CA - VAN NUYS. The nearest major vehicle export port is Long Beach, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

How much below its undamaged value did this AUDI A3 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2023 AUDI A3's pre-damage retail value at $23,492. It sold for $4,500 — 81% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 6

Is 38,816 miles high for a 2023 AUDI A3?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2023 AUDI A3 listings at auction averaged 36,329 miles across 224 sales, so at 38,816 miles this one sits 7% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
