Question 1

Was $3,325 a good price for this 2017 ALFA ROMEO GIULIA?

Accepted Answer

340 comparable 2017 ALFA ROMEO GIULIA listings sold at auction for a median of $5,200, spanning $3,250 to $9,525. At $3,325 this one went 36% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

What does a salvage mean for this ALFA ROMEO GIULIA?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 ALFA ROMEO GIULIA was sold on a salvage. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 3

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 ALFA ROMEO GIULIA. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 4

Is 50,140 miles high for a 2017 ALFA ROMEO GIULIA?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 ALFA ROMEO GIULIA listings at auction averaged 80,261 miles across 340 sales, so at 50,140 miles this one sits 38% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

Where was this ALFA ROMEO GIULIA located?

Accepted Answer

The lot was held at IAAI in HI - KAPOLEI. Location sets the inland transport cost to a port or a repair shop, and state title rules differ, so two otherwise identical cars can be worth noticeably different amounts.

Question 6

Who sold this 2017 ALFA ROMEO GIULIA?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was GEICO. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.
