Question 1

What do rear end 2017 ALFA ROMEO GIULIA models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 22 recorded sales of the 2017 ALFA ROMEO GIULIA with rear end damage, the median was $5,300, from $3,500 to $8,700. That is 2% above the $5,200 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $5,500 a good price for this 2017 ALFA ROMEO GIULIA?

Accepted Answer

345 comparable 2017 ALFA ROMEO GIULIA listings sold at auction for a median of $5,200, spanning $3,250 to $9,400. At $5,500 this one went 6% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this ALFA ROMEO GIULIA sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2017 ALFA ROMEO GIULIA's pre-damage retail value at $16,762. It sold for $5,500 — 67% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 ALFA ROMEO GIULIA. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

How far is this ALFA ROMEO GIULIA from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in NY - LEROY. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 160 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 59,811 miles high for a 2017 ALFA ROMEO GIULIA?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 ALFA ROMEO GIULIA listings at auction averaged 80,341 miles across 345 sales, so at 59,811 miles this one sits 26% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
